Leven the Vale

At 8 I wake up to wonder, a hero
Tintin in the land of the Pharoe
I’m engrossed in Herges scroll
in the library at Alexandria
the ancient precinct of Gilmour.

I'm leaving the Leven,
I'm missing the Nile,
I'm going straight to Alexandria
and wearing a smile.

I’m old now
still traveling through time
the past ahead of me
and I’m feeling fine
in Alexandria
and the Leven is mine;
ancestors have landed
time to take stock
bound together
in this vale of rock.

I'm leaving the Leven,
I'm missing the Nile,
I'm going straight to Alexandria
and wearing a smile.

I'm Leven the Vale,
I'll forget some things,
but I'll find them again
in the Valley of Kings.

I'm leaving Alexandria
only to find it, well done;
rejuvenated, reborn
and nearer the Sun.
